Digital Large Format Printing
From start-up businesses to large-scale enterprises, many label buyers choose digital printing.
Digital printing is a four-color process, capable of achieving great print accuracy and full-color results for a photographic quality finish.
Digital printing is a cost-effective method for printing custom labels with photographic-quality graphics, crisp text, and vibrant colors.
Best suited for smaller orders of 5000 custom labels or less, digital printing is less
labour-intensive and produces less setup waste than flexographic printing.
Flexo Printing
Flexography is a modern version of letterpress printing.
This traditional method of printing can be used on almost any type of substrate, including:
corrugated cardboard,
cellophane,
plastic,
label stock,
fabric and metallic film.
Flexography uses quick-drying, semi-liquid inks.
In this new age of digital printing, flexography holds its own in the areas of large orders, particularly of packaging products and labelling.
Flexographic printing uses flexible photopolymer printing plates wrapped around rotating cylinders on a web press. The inked plates have a slightly raised image and rotate at high speeds to transfer the image to the substrate.
